Today I give you a review of the Smashbox eyeshadow palette and the Smashbox Primer. As you know I live in Israel and go to Holland so now and then. I miss my family and friends a lot. So I tried to make the most of my time in Holland and visited some close friends and family members. I paid a visit to my cousin and her incredible make up collection. She has so many Mac lipsticks, other types of lipstick and glosses and she has nail polish in all the colours of the rainbow. Actually, she dedicated a whole room to her make up and accessories collection. Every girl’s dream…
Let me tell you something personal about my cousin. She is not only very feminine looking and owns a lot of make up, she is also a talented lawyer who works at a prominent organisation in The Netherlands, bought her house in Amsterdam all by herself and takes good care of her appearance every day. A self-made young woman. It’s a shame that she didn’t allow me to place a picture of her on my blog. When I think of her, I only think of true girl power. I got inspired that working hard and loving what you do pays off eventually.
My cousin told me that she bought the (hyped) Smashbox eyeshadow palette. I was so curious to try this!
I can say that this Smashbox eyeshadow palette contains very useful colours. You can use it either for a daily nude look or for a stunning evening look. I decided to go for the nude colours.
What I like about the Smashbox eye palette:
- It contains a little guide to show how to use the eye shadow palette for different types of eyes. And it explains how one should use the brushes.
- The colours are basic but the palette is very diverse. The nude colours are for daily use and the darker colours are very intense for a special occasion. It allows you to make smokey eyes.
- The box contains a mirror.
- The pigmentation is very good.
- The brushes are very good.
I also used the Smashbox primer. I noticed that this primer smoothed the texture my foundation (Vitalumiere by Chanel) and helped it to last longer on my skin. A nice product to use. However, I am curious to wear the Nivea Aftershave Balm since I read that so many beauty bloggers are using this product now as a primer.
The product I used for my lips is a lip gloss/ lipstick by Bourgois Rouge Edition Velvet. It is a very comfortable substance which feels like velvet on your lips.
Thanks girls! See you later.
