Contouring face with makeup

Hey girls, remember my earlier post about some purchases I did at Il Makiage? Well after I tried the makeup in the shop I decided to swap them. I found the mineral powder too shiny and I found the foundation way too orange in daylight. Sometimes the artificial light in a store can completely mislead you. Make sure you always check the makeup in day light.

I swapped these for some new products:

  • A liquid foundation (color dark olive)
  • Volume pressed powder (color red sand)

The sales assistant explained to me that I had to suck in my cheeks. And apply the powder exactly on the line which appears. The powder has a strong pigmentation. It comes off quite dark. So I had to be really careful applying this powder. These pictures below show the new foundation and the new powder without any other makeup on my face.

Shaping this way goes very accurate. But you have to be very careful with your powder brush. Since I told you that the pigmentation is quite strong, apply as gentle as you can. You don’t want to have a ‘cakey’ look.

In these pictures I only wear the foundation and volume pressed powder, no other makeup.

This way of contouring face with makeup is not messy since you basically only need a foundation, brush and powder.

How do you contour your face? Please let me know in a comment below.

Contouren doe ik vaak met een matte bronzer. Ik vind het altijd zo mooi!
