I follow a lot of Dutch bloggers and you made me so curious about Catrice en Essence make-up. When I was in the Netherlands a few months ago I bought some make-up by these brands. However when I took the palette by Catrice with me in the airplane it got damaged – how sad…! Any way I made a budget make-up review for you below.
CATRICE ABSULUTE ROSE eye shadow palette:
I find the pigmentation not quite to my liking. It’s quite thin on my skin and it crumbles while applying. Overall, I am not satisfied with this particular eye shadow. I personally like eye shadows with stronger pigmentation and fewer matt colours, with a little shimmer. These colours make my skin look grey.
Rating the following elements on a 10-point scale:
NUDES NAIL POLISH BY ESSENCE
About the Nudes nail polish by Essence, I can say that the nail polish stays a little transparent, and leaves some stripes even after two applications, which I find disturbing. It last for perhaps four days or so. The colour intensity is not great but reasonable. It is not a nail polish I would buy again.
As I did the rating before (whiles testing Essie and Sally Hansen):
Long lasting: 6.5
ESSENCE EYE SHADOW
This is another palette that broke in my suitcase. What a waste. The pigmentation I find rather poor. It doesn’t appear particularly clearly on my skin. I thought it would have the effect of a highlighter but there is no shimmer in it. I am dissatisfied with this eye show and it seems worthless to me. Maybe I can use it still as a primer.
Last but not least this Essence Get Big Lashes Volume curl mascara
This mascara is quite okay. I wouldn’t say the best mascara ever. But is separates well and does its job. I have to say it does not give a lot of volume.
